How to use Tile Rite Outdoor Pave Spacers: 3 or 5MM:
- Begin by laying your bedding layer over over the MOT Type 1 / Hardcore
- Slide the Tile Rite Outdoor Pave Spacer underneath the paving slab until the base is sitting flush with the tile
- 4 tile spacers are recommended per paving slab, to ensure all corners are flush with the neighbouring slab for larger format or planks you may need 6 spacers
- Lay another slab next to the previous paver, apply pressure to your base until it’s level & flush with the adjacent slab, to secure into place
- You are looking to push any high edges down on the paving slab, to make the surface flat and flush across the pavers. The Tile Rite Outdoor Pave Spacers will keep the slabs in place on gravel, sand or grass whilst your bedding mortar cures (dries) eliminating any slumping or sinkage
- Once you are ready to grout, there is no need to remove the Pave Spacers, simply leave in place and grout as normal
What is a Pave Spacer System?
Pave Spacer Systems are designed for perfect slab-to-slab alignment. They allow a paving or tiling contractor to level, align, space and hold each individual paving slab – on gravel, sand or grass without the need to remove the Paving Spacer after laying.
Types of Brick Bond Explained!
Garden or patio paving slabs, block paving and setts can be laid in a variety of patterns to create beautifully designed, practical driveway or patio designs. There are a wide variety of designs available, and the more block or paver sizes used, the greater the number of laying patterns there are to choose from.
In four main groups, blocks in particular are categorised into random course, stretcher bond, herringbone, circles and octants.
Random course block paving designs use many different sizes of blocks, laid in a random pattern.
Stretcher bond is the simplest offset block paving pattern, known as a running bond or a half bond. The joints in a stretcher bond are offset by half the width of the block.
Herringbone, which is very in vogue, is an interlocking laying pattern. This design is used particularly for driveways, and heavily trafficked areas. The interlock in the design ensures that where vehicles are braking and turning, blocks aren’t moved out of position. Common designs are 45° and 90° herringbone.
