UltraCrete Kerb and Patch Repair (FORMERLY FP-1)

UltraCrete Kerb & Patch Repair is a two-component rapid repair mortar, which is ideal for the reinstatement of small areas such as trip hazards, kerbs and steps, where a repair is needed to be opened to the public quickly. This high strength repair concrete has an initial set time of 25 minutes and can be opened to traffic in just 2 hours.

Kerb & Patch Repair is supplied in 10kg plastic containers, and comes as a two-part system, which comprises a fully pre-blended mix of special
cements and aggregates and a polymer modified liquid admixture, which makes it perfect for carrying out small repairs quickly onsite. You simply mix the pre-blended cements and aggregates vigorously with the primer liquid in the supplied bucket, if you need a slightly wetter consistency a small amount of water may be added to produce a stiff, slump-free concrete.

If you need any further information, or would like a copy of the safety or technical data then please do not hesitate to give us a call on ☎️ 0330 122 1025

How to prepare surfaces for Kerb & Patch Repair

All surfaces should be free from oil, grease, dust or any other visible contaminants. Smooth substrates must be mechanically roughened, e.g. by scabbling or needle gun, followed by washing with clean water to remove all loose particles. Always work on a sound substrate. It is essential that repair edges are saw cut to a minimum depth of 10mm, feather edging is not recommended.

Use the supplied primer

Prime the surfaces prior to application using the primer (the white liquid included in the pack). Pay particular attention to the edges of the repair. Note: Do not allow the primer to dry.

How to mix Kerb & Patch Repair

Mix the blended cements and aggregates vigorously with the remaining primer liquid. A little water may be added to produce a stiff slump-free homogeneous compound.

Placing Kerb & Patch Repair

Kerb & Patch Repair should be applied firmly into position as soon as possible after mixing. Pay particular attention to edges and thin sections. Level up to the surface and finish using a steel float or trowel to close up the surface and seal the edges.
